There is a big news related to the Indian Army. The Central Government has made a big change in the rules regarding the appointment to the post of CDS i.e. Chief of Defense Staff. Under this, the Ministry of Defense has now expanded the scope of officers eligible for CDS. Now those officers have also come under the purview of the eligibility of this post, who are posted on any post of Lieutenant General or its equivalent in the Air Force and Navy.

भारतीय सेना से जुड़ी एक बड़ी खबर आई है। केन्द्र सरकार ने CDS यानि चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ के पद पर नियुक्ति को लेकर नियमों में बड़ा बदलाव किया है। इसके तहत अब रक्षा मंत्रालय ने CDS के लिये पात्र अधिकारियों के दायरे का विस्तार कर दिया गया है। इस पद की पात्रता के दायरे में अब वो अधिकारी भी आ गए हैं, जो वायुसेना और नौसेना में लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल या उसके समकक्ष की किसी पोस्ट पर तैनात हों।
