Twelve students of Mangalore University, in Karnataka's Manguluru were allegedly prevented from entering their classrooms for wearing hijabs on Saturday.

The principal tried to convince them to remove their hijabs inside the ladies’ room and then enter the classrooms, but the students insisted on keeping the hijabs on. The students then went to the library.

However, they were denied entry there as well and they had to return home.
