Rahul Gandhi speaks at Ideas for India, London & BJP got miffed: Did he say anything wrong? | Third Eye
In this episode of Third Eye, Senior Journalist and Founder The Public India, Anand Vardhan Singh talks about former Congress President and Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi who is in London to attend the Ideas for India Conclave. He had an interactive session at Cambridge where he freely spoke about several issues in India and after his remarks, the ruling BJP got miffed at him and claimed that Rahul Gandhi shouldn’t have said such things on foreign soil. He spoke on the current situation of democracy in India, the concentration of power, the idea of federal India which was conceived as a union of states, the use of federal agencies against the states and opposition leaders, and, the concentration of wealth to a handful of people which are considered to be close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Anand Vardhan Singh analyses the interview session if Rahul Gandhi had said anything which he shouldn’t have said otherwise. He point-wise talks about his speech and finds that there is nothing wrong in stating the truth, irrespective of occasion and place. In this global village, whatever is said, echos into the whole world. BJP may not agree with his views, but Rahul Gandhi has his own point of thinking and he has all the right to say what he feels as a leader of this county.
