Fear for Daintree rainforest as heatwaves harm trees

The Daintree in Far North Queensland is one of the oldest rainforests in the world. It sits close thre Great Barrier Reef and achieved world heritage listing in 1988. But there's new concern hotter weather is harming the lush, tropical destination. James Cook University Professor Susan Laurance co-authored the recent research which found tree mortality rates have doubled since the mid-1980s.
