Although this song was interpreted so many times, it was composed as early as 1932. I'm still looking for Elmer Feldkamp's rendition on Oriole or Conqueror, but this is a wonderful alternate version by Charlie Palloy on vocal and guitar, about whom unfortunately no information is available. It was recorded in 1933. Mr. Palloy was accompanied by Russ Carlson, piano.
