Ahead of Champawat by-elections, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami on May 15 while addressing a public rally, promised to solve water shortage in town. “There is a shortage of water in several parts of the country. PM Modi has launched 'Jal Jivan Mission' under which water will be provided to every household in the country. We will lift water from Lohawati river and provide it to people here,” he said. Notably, Champawat bypolls are scheduled to be held on May 31.
