A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman in her 20s was stabbed to death at a flat. Emergency services were called to a property on Mount Pleasant, in Small Heath, Birmingham this morning (Tue). The victim, who has not been named, was found with stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of medics. West Midlands Police launched a murder enquiry and arrested a man on suspicion of murder who remains in custody being quizzed by detectives. A force spokesperson said: "A man has been arrested after a woman died in Small Heath this morning. "A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. "His arrest follows the death of a woman who was found with stab wounds at an address on Mount Pleasant. "Sadly, the woman in her 20s died at the scene and an investigation immediately started".
