IMD's DG Mrityunjay Mohapatra says that in the month of May, hot winds will continue to blow in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Whether we have made any record or not, then since the year 1901, the month of April this year has been the fourth warmest in India. Whereas in the North West and Central region of India, April has been the hottest in 122 years.

आईएमडी के डीजी मृत्युंजय महापात्र है, इनका कहना है कि मई के महीने में राजस्थान, गुजरात, दिल्ली, पंजाब, जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख में गर्म हवाएं चलती रहेंगी.... इसका मतलब कि अभी जल्द राहत के आसार कम हैं, बाकि गर्मी ने कोई रिकॉर्ड बनाया या नहीं ये जान लेते हैं, तो साल 1901 के बाद से इस साल अप्रैल का महीना भारत में चौथा सबसे गर्म रहा है. जबकि भारत के उत्तर पश्चिम और मध्य क्षेत्र में अप्रैल 122 साल में सबसे गर्म रहा है.
