This is the moment a cheeky octopus grabs a diver’s camera lens – and refuses to let go. Paul Dabill, 47, was freediving off Singer Island in Florida, USA when he saw the eight-limbed mollusc hidden in the rocks and decided to try and capture it on video in 2013. After following it around for a few minutes, the cephalopod decided it had enough and leapt onto Paul's camera, sticking its suckers firmly to the lens. The restaurant owner said: "I was pretty shocked. I let go of the camera and let it sit on the ocean floor while I tried to figure out how to remove the octopus. "I used the pole from my dive flag to pry the octopus away from my camera." It took Paul, from Jupiter, about five minutes to remove it from the camera before it swam away. He added: "I was excited to see it because they are so fascinating! "Octopus are amazing because they have the ability to morph into different shapes. "It was also amazing to see their tentacles and suction cups work close up as it attached to my camera." The video was filmed on March 13 2013.
