Parents and members of the public who spot basikal lajak, the common term for modified bicycle activities, should openly snap photos of the riders and tell them to go home for their own good, said Salman Ahmed, the father of Muhamad Arif Salman, one of the survivors of the 2017 accident where a car, driven by 27-year-old Sam Ke Ting ploughed into a group of teenage basikal lajak riders, killing eight of them.
The father-of-three added that his family wants to move on from the ordeal as the past five years have been tormenting due to the negative comments online to people publicly criticising them.
