Navratri has now reached its final stage and today there is a law to worship Mahagauri, the most peaceful form of Maa Durga, on the Ashtami date. This form of Mother fulfills the wishes of every devotee and gives them freedom from all troubles. Devi was only eight years old at the time of her birth. That is why they are worshiped on the eighth day of Navratri. For her devotees, she is the form of Annapurna. She is also the presiding deity of wealth and prosperity and happiness and peace.
