Ukrainians are returning to the capital city as Russian forces withdraw from the Kyiv area. Some residents say they feel ashamed for resuming a “normal life” as other regions of Ukraine brace against intensified Russian assault.   Their hopes to rebuild came as the Ukrainian military warned on April 7, 2022, that Russia could renew its attack on Kyiv.
