Congress workers on held protested against fuel, LPG price hike in front of the head post office in Kottayam, Kerala. The protest was led by former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Several state governments had reduced Value-Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel to provide relief to people.

इस समय महंगाई की जोरदार मार जनता पर पड़ रही है। महंगाई से जनता त्रस्त आ चुकी है। हर चीज के दाम में बढ़ोतरी देखी जा रही है। दूध, फल, सब्जिया, गैस से लेकर (LPG price hike) पेट्रोल डीजल (Petrol Diesel) के रेट बढ़ाए जा चुके है। अब ईंधन के दामों में वृद्धि (fuel price hike) के खिलाफ केरल में कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ( Congress workers) ने जमकर विरोध-प्रदर्शन किया। कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने केरल (Kerala) के कोट्टायम में प्रधान डाकघर के सामने ईंधन, रसोई गैस की कीमतों में वृद्धि के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। प्रदर्शन का नेतृत्व केरल के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ओमन चांडी ने किया था।
