The Bombay High Court in a recent order has asked the wife to pay alimony to her former husband. The court further stated that according to a Section of the Hindu Marriage Act, either of the spouses can claim alimony. The court was hearing the plea of a couple who got married in 1992 and were divorced in 2015 after the wife approached the court alleging cruelty.
