Just over a decade ago, nearly every Australian state agreed to a major change to try to boost the rate of organ donation. But removing organ donation status from state drivers' licenses in favour of a central, national database has caused registration numbers to either stagnate or drop, even though the vast majority of Australians are open to the idea. Now there's a strong push to go back to licenses.
