The world’s poorest nations will pay China almost $14 billion this year in debt servicing costs.
In total, 68 countries will pay $52.8 billion in debt costs this year.
More than a quarter of that amount will go to China as Beijing is one of the largest lenders to developing nations.
The 68 nations collectively owed $110 billion to China in 2020 up from $105 billion in 2019.
