Winston Peters, New Zealand's former deputy Prime Minister, has come out in support of the release of the Kashmiri Files in the country. New Zealand's censor board is under pressure from some communal groups to ban the movie in the country. The former deputy PM stated that the movie has been released in America, Australia and many other countries around the world and not released in New Zealand and this will be an attack on the freedom of New Zealanders.
