The Yang di-Pertuan Agong today rejected Putrajaya's request for emergency powers to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. The Agong has found that the high threshold required by the Constitution to announce a State of Emergency has not been met. And while he praised the management of the pandemic, Sultan Abdullah also called for less politicking. But will this resolve the inherent instability in the current administration?
