China virus outbreak revives wildlife trade fears

A conservation activist has filmed how police recently raided wildlife markets across eastern China, as authorities and scientists point to such sites as the likely source of a new virus which has infected more than 1,000 people worldwide.
The spreading outbreak of a newly identified coronavirus has been linked to a wildlife market in the city of Wuhan and has prompted renewed calls for enforcement of laws against the trade in and consumption of exotic species.
