Tigers come to Bandhavgarh to watch humans in their zoo line-up of Gypsies!

A line of Maruti Gypsy jeep SUV's line up on the dusty tracks of Bandhavgarh, desperate to see a tiger in the wild. They have NO idea they have been scammed, for the tigers are lining up to see the crammed caged human beings in the jeeps coming into the forest to display themselves to the wild animals... And so poor are the conditions of the humans in the crammed vehicles that the animals have the last laugh! The human beings cannot even walk out and stretch their legs or take a leak. Oh, the poverty of the human condition!

Crowded jungle Safari at Bandhavgarh. If this is what being in the forest means, maybe we should all remain in a crowded city! Dust, rows of vehicles, petrol fumes, noise, screaming kids, crowds and unruly drivers... What an absolute non-forest-like experience Bandhavgarh has become - like an extended safari park with yuppie kids and middle class tourists brimming over from their jeeps!

No wonder a tigress (with cubs!) got run over by a drunken politician's Gypsy here. Mix drunken politicians allowed into the park after hours with rows of vehicles and you have a crowded cocktail that kills tigers!

(Rule-following conservationists, filmmakers and naturalists have to naturally follow the rules and stand in rows of Gypsies - no wonder Bandhavgarh is not on any serious birders' or wildlifers' itinerary!)

So rural India now experiences Gypsy-dhuli as opposed to Go-dhuli - the dust raised by homing cows!
