Prime Minister Boris Johnson has denied he pushed for a peerage for Evgeny Lebedev despite security concerns.

He suggested it would have been "extraordinary" had he done so, whilst also failing to deny he met the Russian-born businessman during the height of the pandemic to discuss the peerage.
