A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel open fire in Amritsar on March 6, leaving 5 persons dead and 1 hospitalised. While speaking about the incident, Punjab Frontier BSF Inspector General, Asif Jalal said, “5 people have died and 1 is hospitalised. The person who shot (Ct Satteppa S K) also received (bullet) injuries.”

A court of inquiry has also been ordered regarding the matter.
