As polling for the fifth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections is underway, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on February 27 cast his vote at a polling booth in Prayagraj. He is contesting Assembly Elections from Sirathu Constituency. Speaking to mediapersons, he said, “I appeal to the people to vote in as many numbers as possible. We will secure 300 plus seats and form government.” As many as 692 candidates are in the fray for 61 Assembly Constituencies. Elections in Uttar Pradesh are being held in seven phases and will conclude on March 7. The counting of votes in Uttar Pradesh will take place on March 10.
