'Tragicomic footage has surfaced from Quinta da Granja, Portugal, which shows a surprising zipline fail.

This video features a boy who attempts to slide down a rope via a pulley.

While the first half of his adventure goes very well, it's the second one that makes things interesting.

While ziplining back to the point of origin, the pulley comes off, causing the subject to get slammed butt-first on the ground.

Luckily, the webbing was suspended only a few feet above the ground.
