Women and girls are abused because they are female. That's according to Psychologist Dr. Dianne Douglas who points to gender inequality and a mistrust between the sexes as a catalyst.


At the Gender and Child Affairs Division's 2nd Town Hall meeting, the focus was on getting into the mind of a violent intimate partner and what avenues are available to help victims and perpetrators.
