A dad who suffered a brain injury in 2014 lights up as he is finally reunited with his daughter after being separated since 2019 and throughout the entire coronavirus pandemic. Jessica Farley, 24, said because of father Brian’s condition, he would always beam with joy as soon as his brain was able to process it was his daughter paying him a visit. But having been apart since 2019, Jessica’s surprise trip to Medilodge of Clare, in Clare, Michigan, on June 5, produced an extra special reaction from Brian, 57. Jessica was wearing a mask as she entered her father’s room at his rehab facility, but once she removed it, Brian suddenly noticed the person staring back at him. And he couldn’t contain his excitement, appearing initially as if he was going to cry before bouncing up and down with joy at the chance to hug his daughter. Back in October 2014, Brian suffered a massive brain aneurysm in his sleep, and when Jessica’s mom tried to wake him, he didn’t respond. After undergoing brain surgery, Brian went into vasospasm and had several strokes. He spent a week in a coma and a month in hospital before being transferred to the care facility he has been at ever since. Due to COVID-19 precautions, nursing homes were shut down and in-person visitations were not allowed. So, when Jessica was eventually given the green light, she immediately planned to drive from her home in Indian River, Michigan, to see her father within a few days. After the reunion, Jessica shared the first-person video she captured online, and a huge number of people around the world responded to say the moment brought them to tears.
