Punjab's famous singer and actor Deep Sidhu, who came in open discussion during the farmers' movement against the agricultural reform laws of the central government, was killed in a road accident. The accident took place after a Scorpio car collided with a trolley ahead of Peepli toll of Kharkhoda area at KMP in Sonipat. The truck driver fled from the spot after the accident, which has now been arrested.

केंद्र सरकार के कृषि सुधार कानूनों के विरोध में हुए किसान आंदोलन के दौरान खुलकर चर्चा में आए पंजाब के मशहूर गायक व एक्टर दीप सिद्धू की सड़क हादसे में मौत हो गई थी. सोनीपत में केएमपी पर खरखोदा क्षेत्र के पीपली टोल से आगे स्कॉर्पियो कार की ट्राले से भिड़ंत होने से ये हादसा हुआ था. हादसे के बाद ट्रक ड्राइवर मौके से फरार हो गया था जिसे अब गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है
