Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu, who appeared in several Punjabi films, died in a road accident, after his car collided with a truck on the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal Expressway in Haryana, on 15 February.
The 42-year-old actor, who played a key role in the farmers' protest, against the now-withdrawn farm laws, came to limelight after he claimed responsibility for hoisting the Nishan Sahib (Sikh flag) at the Red Fort on Republic Day 2021, during a tractor rally led by protesting farmers.
