Hope for Thailand’s epilepsy sufferers
To mark World Epilepsy Day today (February 14), Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat is highlighting the disease’s symptoms as well the need for patients to get the right treatment and support from family and loved ones. Treatment for epilepsy in Thailand can be expensive and difficult to access. Pita, who is among an estimated 700,000 epileptics in Thailand, pledged to push for law changes to make epilepsy treatment including expensive operations more affordable.
