On February 10, the first of the seven phase elections in Uttar Pradesh was completed. 60.17 per cent people voted for the 58 seats in western Uttar Pradesh. In 2017, the poll percentage was 63.5 per cent. Akhilesh Yadav and Jayant Chaudhary combination is seen as the big challenger to the Yogi Adityanath government. In 2017, the BJP won 91 per cent of the 58 seats in the region. This time, Congress led by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party may influence votes.
