ఈ రోజు నుంచి యూపీ లో అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. నేడు తొలి విడత పోలింగ్ జరుగుతోంది. 11 జిల్లాల్లోని 58 అసెంబ్లీ నియోజకవర్గాలకు పోలింగ్ జరుగుతోంది. ఉదయం 7 గంటల నుంచి పోలింగ్ ప్రారంభమైంది. సాయంత్రం 5 గంటల వరకు పోలింగ్ ప్రక్రియ కొనసాగుతుంది. ఉత్తర్ ప్రదేశ్ తొలివిడత ఎన్నికల్లో ఉదయం 11.00 వరకు 20శాతం మేర పోలింగ్ నమోదైంది. అయితే ఈ ఎన్నికల్లో బీజేపీ విజయం సాధిస్తుందని ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ ధీమా వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.
