The leader of the DUP has said the government should be "stepping up" to resolve the collapse of powersharing in Stormont, sparked by disagreements over the post-Brexit Northern Ireland Protocol.

Sir Jeffrey Donaldson said: "I have said the prime minister that I want to meet with him urgently.
