In a conversation with Lata ji, Lata Mangeshkar said, “Asha and I are close. We don't meet often these days as she stays far away with her son Anand. Earlier she lived next to me and we even shared the door between our two apartments in Prabhu Kunj (Residential Complex on Paddar Road, Mumbai). I know people find it hard to believe. But it is like that.

लता जी के इंटरव्यू में बातचीत में लता मंगेशकर ने कहा, “आशा और मैं करीब हैं। हम इन दिनों अक्सर नहीं मिलते हैं, क्योंकि वो अपने बेटे आनंद के साथ काफी दूर रहती हैं। पहले वो मेरे बगल में रहती थीं और हम यहां तक अपने दो अपार्टमेंट्स के बीच का दरवाजा भी प्रभुकुंज (मुंबई के पद्दर रोड पर रेजिडेंशियल कॉम्प्लेक्स) में शेयर करते थे। मैं जानती हूं कि, लोगों को इस पर यकीन करना मुश्किल लगता है। लेकिन ये ऐसा ही है।
