In response to an RTI application, SBI said that since the introduction of electoral bonds, this is the first time that bonds of such a huge amount were sold before an assembly election. During this period, the bank's Mumbai branch sold the maximum bonds worth Rs 489.6 crore and the New Delhi branch had the maximum number of bonds redeemed.

एक आरटीआई आवेदन के जवाब में एसबीआई ने बताया कि चुनावी बॉन्ड शुरू होने के बाद से ऐसा पहली बार हुआ है जब किसी विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले इतनी बड़ी राशि के बॉन्ड बेचे गए. इस अवधि में बैंक की मुंबई शाखा ने सबसे ज्यादा 489.6 करोड़ रुपये के बॉन्ड बेचे और नई दिल्ली शाखा में सबसे अधिक बॉन्ड भुनाए गए.
