Several BJP leaders and workers protested and resigned after the party announced the list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Manipur, leaving many disappointed. The BJP leaders who were denied tickets and their supporters torched party flags, burnt effigies of PM Modi and CM N Biren Singh, ransacked a few party offices and shouted slogans.
