Slow work in rehoming high country brumbies

Volunteers working to re-home hundreds of Australia’s wild horses say they need more support to reduce the number of brumbies due to be culled. New plans were adopted last year to control the number of wild horses in the Victorian and New South Wales high country, but re-homing applications have been slow because of a maze of government red-tape.
