இந்தியாவின் அண்டை நாடான இலங்கையில் விலைவாசி விண்ணை முட்டி உள்ள நிலையில் இரு வேளை உணவுக்குக் கூட அல்லல்படும் நிலைக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளதாக அந்நாட்டு மக்கள் வேதனை தெரிவித்துள்ள நிலையில், இலங்கை சர்வதேச நிதியத்தின் உதவியை கோர வேண்டும் என கோரிக்கை எழுந்துள்ளது.

The people of Sri Lanka, India's neighbor, have complained that prices have skyrocketed to the point where they are not even able to afford food, and have demanded that Sri Lanka seek the help of the International Monetary Fund.
