In his first comments on the use of tear gas by the Guard and Emergency Branch during a protest on Sunday, the Prime Minister says that the Police Service's use of force policy includes the use of tear gas as a crowd control measure.
As for criticism in some quarters of the use of tear gas at a time when children were present, the Prime Minister says parents must be concerned about not putting their children in harm's way.
He spoke on the matter while responding to a question from the Opposition in Parliament on Wednesday.
