An early-morning blaze in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area has gutted over 60 shops in the popular shopping haunt. The size and spread of the fire needed 12 fire engines working for hours to douse the flames. The fire reportedly started at 04:45am and a preliminary inquiry into the matter showed that around 80 cardboard boxes had caught fire following a short circuit.
