Scientists have discovered a 299-million-year-old rock in the Shyok and Nubra valleys, north of the Indus river in Ladakh. According to scientists, the rock found in the discovery is of Gondwana period. Fossils of seeds from the time of Gondwana land have also been found near this rock. This paper is published in the latest issue of the American research journal Geologic Society of America.

वैज्ञानिकों ने Ladakh में सिंधु नदी के उत्तर में श्योक और न्यूब्रा घाटी में 299 मिलियन साल पुरानी चट्टान की खोज की है. वैज्ञानिकों के मुताबिक, खोज में मिली चट्टान गोंडवाना काल की है. इस चट्टान के पास ही गोंडवाना भूमि के समय के बीजों के जीवाश्म भी मिले हैं. यह शोधपत्र अमेरिका की शोध पत्रिका Geologic Society of America के ताजा अंक में प्रकाशित हुआ है.
