With elections in key states around the corner, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi as left for a brief visit abroad. An election rally in Moga in Punjab on January 3 that Gandhi was supposed to attend has now been cancelled. The Congress called its former president’s trip a “personal visit”, without disclosing the destination or duration.
