While addressing an event in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 27 expressed his faith in the state's ability to achieve vaccine coverage of children aged 15-18 years, saying that Himachal Pradesh will lead the way.

“Our government has announced Covid-19 vaccination for 15-18-year-olds from January 3, 2022, and 'precaution dose' for healthcare workers and senior citizens with comorbidities from January 10. I am confident that Himachal Pradesh will lead in achieving vaccination coverage,” said PM Modi.
