The BJP formally announced its alliance with Amarinder Singh's Punjab Lok Congress and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa's SAD (Sanyukt) for the Punjab Assembly election. Both Amarinder Singh and Dhindsa met with the BJP top brass, including party president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The common minimum programme and joint manifesto will be released soon.
