The man lynched for an alleged sacrilege attempt at a gurdwara in Kapurthala had 30 injuries, mostly sharp cuts likely to have been inflicted by swords on his body, the post-mortem report revealed.
Senior Medical Officer Narinder Singh told reporters that a five-member board of doctors from the local civil hospital conducted the autopsy.
The report stated that the unidentified man had deep cuts on the neck, head, chest and right hip of the body.
Meanwhile, the man was cremated as no one came forward to claim the body.
