Here there is a bid in the auction for the selection of candidates for the post of Sarpanch. The logic of the villagers behind this is that the candidates will not use money wrongly to win votes.

मध्यप्रदेश के एक पंचायत के लोगों ने सरपंच या ग्राम प्रधान को चुनने के लिए अनूठा तरीका अपनाया है. यहां पर सरपंच पद के उम्मीदवारों के चयन के लिए नीलामी में बोली लगी है. इसके पीछे ग्रामीणों का तर्क है कि उम्मीदवार वोट जीतने के लिए पैसे का इस्तेमाल गलत नहीं करेंगे.
