Although giving eggs has been limited to seven districts in Karnataka, Lingayat and Jain groups have been protesting demanding the government withdraw its order. But can the government afford to repeal its order especially considering malnutrition among kids in some districts? Is this the first time that Karnataka is seeing such a controversy?
