Experts say Australian mRNA vaccine production is an important step for COVID response

Federal and Victorian governments have signed an in-principle deal with Moderna to produce its vaccines in Australia. The plant is expecting to be operating by 2024 and will have the capacity to produce 100-milliion vaccine doses a year. Experts say the deal will be very advantageous for Australia’s medical ecosystem, despite the delay.
