Odd Jobs:
A variety of brushes, shoe polishes and metal tools! Look at all these tools a normal street-side cobbler is equipped with, in India. Cobbling (or cobblering?) is one of the oldest professions in the world. A shoe cobbler normally repairs shoes focusing mainly on repairing and restoration of shoes. It takes years of training to become a shoe cobbler. In India, presence on the roadside is the ultimate training. One can access cobblers with ease as they are located in almost every neighboring locality.
A cobbler at his work mending shoes!! This video shows a roadside cobbler or mochi repairing a broken slipper. He uses a set of clippers, needle and thread to sew the broken part back to the slipper. This was recorded in Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi.
