Today, Scotland follows through on its COP26 promise to step away from coal for good. During the autumn gathering of world leaders, it was agreed that it wasn't enough to just close coal power stations - they needed to be demolished so there was no temptation of returning to burning coal for energy.
On the morning of Thursday 9th December, Scottish Power and Nicola Sturgeon made a historic step away from coal power by finally blowing down Longannet Coal Power Plant's iconic chimney stack.
Watch the blowdown and some emotive words from the First Minister and ScottishPower's Chief Executive, Keith Anderson.
