The story of Rumini inevitably touches Indonesians hearts.

Rumini, a 28-year-old woman, was found dead hugging her mom during the Mt Semeru eruption, December 4, 2021.

They were found lifeless in each other's arms in their kitchen's house.

Rumini chose to accompany her mother, Salamah, who had walking difficulty.
